For the next seven weeks, our entire 4,600 square foot gallery will be filled with works from 35+ local and regional artists represented by the gallery. Each of these contemporary artworks express the lively rhythms of life through vibrant colors, textures and forms.

Our gallery concept was founded in Capitola Village in August of 2019 with the name, Curated [by the Sea]. During the strange and chaotic summer of 2020, we regrouped and relocated to our large, 4600 sq. ft. empty storefront located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz.

 

We have spent these last four years transforming the space into a bright, spacious art gallery and recently rebranded as

M.K. Contemporary Art.

 

We now showcase the work of 40+ local and regional artists. In addition, we exhibit a rotating series of themed shows and special events. We are becoming known for our quirky, eclectic, yet elegant collection of contemporary art inspired by the unique natural beauty and creative culture that is Santa Cruz.

We are open noon to 5pm Thursday through Sunday and by appointment.
